| The nameless prototype for this paddle design was tested in the boggy swamps of northern Minnesota. Near to Steak Lake, I tested this paddle through 5 hours of snow and wind and 8 hours of meandering swamp streams. What a great paddle!! It performed well, thrusting through the frigid water into the tough wind. It was used over and over all week-long for pushing through the shallow bottlenecks and landings--no scratches!! Hence the name--Swamp Runner. Handcrafted from white ash and beautiful cherry.
All paddles are priced as "varnish only" finish. Varnish only includes four layers of ultra tough marine varnish (see About Our Finish) Or choose to add a fiberglass blade wrap to any paddle for $29.95. All fiberglassed paddles are coated three times with ultra UV weather protecting marine varnish.
