Since 1970, the bent-shaft paddle has slowly gained popularity among common canoe paddlers. The newer design is extensively used by marathon canoe paddlers due to the bent-shaft's added power, even with a shorter stroke length. If you want to add more thrust into your paddling stroke, try a bent-shaft paddle. Our 14 degree model allows for more power and thrust, as compared to our 7 degree model. "Falcon grip" for ultimate comfort and performance.
The Meanderer paddle is constucted using the 7-layer method for bending paddle shafts. Made from Cherry and Cedar. Layered with strips of cherry hardwood surrounding the cedar stripped core . The grip and the blade both are made with lightweight, clear cedar and clear cherry hardwood.
